  The staff we spoke to were all helpful and polite. Dinner was good, and breakfast even better. Service at both meals was very efficient. The grounds are amazing, and plenty of space to let the dog run around away from other guests. It's a pity dogs aren't allowed in the bar so you could sit there in the evening, but understandable, as other guests have to be considered. Just being allowed the dog in the room was good enough for us as it meant we could take her with us.
  
  We had a standard pet friendly room, nothing special, but expected from a standard room. It was clean and the bed was comfy, that's what mattered to us. Only let down was facing onto the car park, when what we think was a night shift employee (as it wasn't there in the morning) turned up in his BMW 1 series with the stereo pumping when we'd just got our baby to sleep and got to sleep ourselves.
  
  A footpath of some kind from the main access to the front door would be a good idea. We had to push the buggy down the road, which was reduced to a single car width for cars going in both directions due to people parking on the road instead of the main car park.
  
  The rear entrance was let down by inconsiderate smokers smoking at the door and discarding their cigarette ends on the ground - rather than using the smoking area provided.
  
  We had a good experience and would stay again. Customer service was good, without it even the nicest hotels would be disappointing.

  The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Very picturesque on approach, in an idyllic location. The reception was lovely, and was welcomed by a smiling lady who provided great information and cookies, which was nice. The rooms were very lush and the beds were comfortable. Dinner was delicious and breakfast was magic. The pool was brilliant and the children had a ball. Will definitely be back.
